“Foaming at the Mouth” is the third single to be released by alternative artist Mosa which comes with a jarring amount of pensive emotion. Whether it hits you through the melodically ambient instrumental progressions, Mosa’s reflectively poised vocals, or the lyrics, you’re going to feel bruised.
With inspiration for their sound coming everywhere from Tom Waits to Justin Vernon, there’s a real sense that the single was born through true expression rather than just going through the motions of production. With elements of Post-Rock, Darkwave, and Indie within the chilling soundscape, a contemporary stylistic sound was easily achieved. Yet, there are enough familiar elements to latch onto to transform listening to Foaming at the Mouth into a cathartically restorative experience.
From the first verse, I knew I wouldn’t get to the outro dry-eyed. Mosa definitely didn’t let me down.
