There’s always something piercingly raw about freestyle rap. Perhaps it’s the knowledge that you’re being treated by an unfiltered, unadulterated a pure stream of conscious. Which is exactly what you get from Mitchell Arnott’s versing in H2Flow.
As visceral as the dubbed over Trap beat was to H2Flow it’s impossible for your full attention not to be directed to the relentless rap bars which come to life around the pure poetry in the lyrics. Mitchell’s command for lyrical meter and rhyme is almost unparalleled, yet, the lyrics go beyond that. If you can keep up with the versing, you can see the highly conceptual punches that Mitchell pulls in every line.
The end result is one of the most resonant tracks I’ve checked out this year. There isn’t a flaw to be found in the intricately weaved tapestry which is H2Flow.
