Miles Casper has followed on from the success of their first two singles with the equally as melodically smooth Pop Trap track “Hit the Spot”. You can’t help but feel and move to the rhythmic grind in Hit the Spot. It’s not all too often we can dub Pop Trap entrancing but Hit the Spot does exactly what it says on the tin.
By switching between harmonic Pop vocals and perfectly metered rapid-fire Rap bars, Miles Casper created a dynamic hit which you’re immediately hooked into from the prelude right up to the outro. There’s also a lot to be said for the seamless fluidity of the lush instrumentals. Not to mention the radio-ready finish which they were able to achieve on the production.
The 19-year-old Melbourne-based artist and producer plans to drop a single each month in 2020. If any Alt Pop is worth having on your radar this year, it is Miles Casper.
