Taking Trap to the next level is up and coming artist lil beans. I know, I know, there are plenty of Trap artist who use ‘lil’ in their names and do the genre no justice. But what lil beans created with his latest single “Hopes Up” may ironically instil hope for the genre.
The track may be teasingly short at just under two and a half minutes. Yet, that’s all the time the artist needed to curate a heavy, curve-creating reverberant beat which lets the reverb gel with the kicks of the 808s for an arrestive soundscape. There may be a fair amount of effect on the vocals, but thanks to the veracity of the lyrics, the emotion behind Hopes Up still hits pretty damn hard.
