Up and coming Indie Pop artist Leo Dolan has recently released their debut single with “New Year’s Day”. It may seem a little strange listening to a song about New Year’s Day in the midst of Summer, but the track isn’t just good for all seasons, it also has that timelessly classic accessible appeal.
In New Year’s Day, you’ll get to hear up-vibe Jangle Pop guitars weave around echoes of vintage tonality while the vocals can be put in the same emotive league as Paul Simon, yet the polished production shares more reminiscences with artists such as the 1975. The track may be more downtempo than your usual Indie Pop track, but New Year’s Day still remains a punchy, polished Pop earworm.
It’s going to be incredibly exciting to see what comes next from Leo Dolan.
