“Indigo” is the upcoming single from Kilnsey Green, which may just be one of the most soulfully evoking singles which will drop in 2019. Through the progressive nature of the slightly extended single, you’re treated to a prelude of soft acoustic indie which steadily builds in momentum until Indigo is well and truly within the Alt Rock arena. The soft, neo-soul ambience which is poured into the start of the single could never prepare you for the veracity of the riff-driven outro where vocalist Oliver James completely loses mellifluous restraint and treats you to raw, unbridled passion.
The Bradford, UK-based quartet set out with the intention of creating a sound which fresh and unique. But that barely even captures the ingenuity which has gone into this deftly stylised single which proves that whether they’re creating soft Folk or cataclysmic Alt Rock they’re a force to be reckoned with.
You’ll have to wait a little longer before you can check out Indigo for yourselves, in the meantime, you can check out their debut single Anxious via SoundCloud.
