Whilst the majority of up and coming Electro Pop artists are busy trying to recreate the sound of London Grammar and Warpaint. Singer-songwriter Kaytlyn Cate has carved out her own sound with the sharp hooks contained within her latest single “You’re Making My Heart Feel Like”. The single unfolds with an infusion of Neo-Soul which comes courtesy of the bends and swells from the acoustic instrumentals whilst the drum pads offer a concordantly mesmeric rhythm. Combined with powerful, ingeniously metered lyricism and Kaytlyn’s ethereal vocal capacity, it’s easy to anticipate a big future for breaking artist’s career. With so much maturity already to be found in her sound it’s only a matter of time before her chart-worthy style finds its place in the mainstream.
