Many female Pop artists may approach their sound with an almost apologetic energy, but with her latest single “General” Katie Colosimo left her attitude undiluted and created a refreshing mesmeric serving of Contemporary Pop.
“General” is the ultimate aural ode to the power couple, which is a fairly new dynamic to be heard within Pop as we hear the misogynistic infrastructure dismantle; and it’s probably safe to say that you’ve never heard a soundscape unfold in quite the same way either.
The up and coming artist moved from Pittsburgh to Nashville in 2012, and it would seem that unmistakable Nashville vibe has been laced into General which mixes moody electro Pop with big choruses, and plenty of daring lyrical depth to sink your teeth into.
