Usually, Rappers don’t do the best job of versing about women, but with his recent single ‘Pretty Self’ Jordan TucKKKer tackles the topic in a tawdry way that allows him to keep all of his enigmacy and proves that not all Hip Hop artists have to be tarred with the same brush of misogyny.
The Detroit based up and coming Hip Hop artist created a track which is easily resonant through keeping the lyricism simple, humble, and relatable. There was no self-aggrandized superiority riddled into the mix, Pretty Self came alive through Jordan’s charisma and slick lyrical style. With the beat Jordan mixes a transient melody into a multi-layered mid-tempo mix which won’t fail to leave you sharing in the hype which is contained in the Trap rhythm – the end result is infinitely cathartic. Regardless of the punchy Rap delivery the beat has a quintessential Dream Wave vibe orchestrated by a dizzying amount of funk and groove.
