New York Alt Rap artist JB Moe has been getting plenty of attention with their innovatively fresh experimental mixes of Drill and Trap in recent years, and there’s little room to wonder why given the instantly resonant feel behind their tracks.
The prolific production machine has put out a fair number of tracks this summer, but their recently released single “Nautica” is the perfect introduction to their smooth rhythmic and atmospherically raw approach to contemporary Hip Hop.
Nautica essentially serves as a fine balance of moody dark EDM and downtempo Hip Hop which shouldn’t just be of appeal to people who are exclusively fans both of those genres. JB Moe has the perceptible ability to make their sound accessible whilst being simultaneously expressive and authentic. All that is without mentioning the radio-ready production which Nautica was polished with.
