While some may regard Disco Funk as slightly archaic as genres go thanks to the unmistakable 70s groove, there’s no better sound to bring a dancefloor to life than the sound of anthemic Soul. Which is exactly what up and coming artist Jason Gill created with his latest single “Pedestal”.
Not only is Pedestal one of the most euphoric hits to come out of the genre in recent years, but it’s also so much more than a floor filler. Jason Gill managed to create a poignant social commentary on women’s rights within his anthemically Funk-driven track. Sentiment aside, there’s plenty more charm to be found through Jason Gill’s vocals which should be of appeal to any fans of Adam Levine along. In the incredibly electric instrumental mix you can expect orchestral swells to accentuate the sticky-sweet layers of disco with the odd infusion of sonic synths.
