You can consider us well and truly enamoured by up and coming artist Jacob Mondry’s latest single Acoustic Indie Pop single “Color Me Blue”
There’s plenty of spatial effect in Colour Me Blue which leaves you hanging in the bitter-sweet anticipation for the next lyrical line to be delivered. The track slightly picks up the pace and builds up more atmospherics in the melody as the track progresses. Each new evolution in the soundscape feels impossibly natural. It may be a short track, but even after the track has faded out, the understated simplicity of the single stays with you – which has a lot to do with the revelatory feel to the lyrics. The last line of Color Me Blue feels like you’ve just slotted in the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle, and if that doesn’t class as aural alchemy, I’m not entirely sure what does.
