If you’re looking for some soul-shatteringly beautiful Alt Rock to add to your playlists, look no further than up and coming US-based artist’s Izak’s latest single “Dip”. The track may start off with an admittedly unimpressive offering of simple guitar chord progressions. Yet the progressive nature of the concordantly sweet Jangle Pop guitar leads you into a rhythmically intricate arrangement which packs the same visceral punch as singles from the Kooks and the Strokes. It’s rare that you’ll come across an artist’s first single and find the soundscape accessibly cathartic. Usually it takes familiarity for sentiment to hit home that hard, yet Izak has proven with his debut single Dip that he’s anything but a typical emerging artist.
