Even the most cantankerous of critics couldn’t find a flaw in IZ’s latest drop BANDS. Released on May 1st, the Hip Hop Rap artist has already been inundated with support from fans who know just how to appreciate the beat. It’s not often I’ll find a Hip Hop track so pensively compelling as I found BANDS.
The stylishly soulful Trap beat was polished to absolute perfection and the fact that IZ’s lyrics translate as pure poetry didn’t go unnoticed either. The Michigan based artist has superseded himself with BANDS, easily being one of the freshest mixes the independent solo artist has brought out to date. The way the track draws to a close, makes sure that long after the track has faded out it’s still resonating in you.
