The atmospherically blessed Alt-Rock outfit Something Leather released their latest single “Velvet” on June 28th, 2019 and provided a dark hypnotic soundscape which possesses an alchemic theatrical tonality.
Any fans of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster will appreciate the psychedelically carnivalesque feel behind the single orchestrated by the Brighton-based trio who let the organ take the lead in their music and allow their listeners to delve into the trippy layers.
Velvet resonates as an act of aural occultism, complete with snaking rhythms, clever melodic carving and vocals which whisper into the mix to create the ultimate mesmeric single.
