Indie, R&B and Trap found the perfect balance in Joshua Dairen’s evocative single “Let Them Go”. R&B which feels so contemporarily resonant isn’t easily found. So, it comes as no surprise that we’re not the only ones bowled over by their stylish visceral approach to the genre.
The rhythm in Let Them Go isn’t just fluid, it’s almost anthropomorphic through the way it amplifies the emotion which Joshua Dairen serves in potent doses through the lyrics and their performance of them. The track acts as a poignantly sweet reminder that not everything and everyone in life is worth hanging onto – no matter who it is, or what it is.
