I Am Soyuz has to be one of the most refreshing, quiescent Indie Acoustic Pop singer songwriters I’ve had the pleasure of checking out this year. The ethereal aura which accompanies her sound drives the emerging artist’s composition to a point which goes so far beyond compelling it offers an almost transient melody.
The chord progressions within her latest single Still I Fly may not be the most pioneering I’ve ever heard, yet that doesn’t seem to matter once she starts to lay down her poignant folkish vocals on top of the track. The acoustic guitar starts to bleed into the synth of the track accompanied with some classical strings for good effect. As the track draws to a close you realise just how infectiously compelling and cathartic I Am Soyuz’s come back single Still I Fly actually is.
You can check out I Am Soyuz’s latest track Still I Fly on SoundCloud now. Be warned, there’s no forgetting that melody once you’ve heard it.
