“No Shortage of Gratitude” is the latest single from up and coming singer songwriter Heather Cook which fans of London Grammar, Daughter and Tom Odell are sure to appreciate. Whilst her plaintive approach to sound may carry reminiscence to the aforementioned artists, her style which is gently stamped down in her second single is irrefutably her own. The imagery which is weaved into the lyricism is just one of the reasons why the single unfolds as an ethereally arresting composition. The oceanic soundscape comes alive through lucid layers of reverb which adds texture to the acoustic instrumentals which follow a tentative, stripped-back downtempo pacing. Could you possibly need any more reason to check out Heather Cook’s indulgently smooth single?
