“Confusion” is just one of the atmospherically potent singles on Hands’ latest album “The Life & Death of Grief”. The track acts as the perfect introduction to their viscerally ominous take on Alt Indie. It’s not all too often that I get to say that you’ve never heard anything reminiscent of what an up and coming artist has created. This time, it’s my absolute pleasure to introduce the prodigally intellectual creativity of Hands.
Even given the amount of experimentalism contained within Confusion, there’s a magnetic amount of accessibility behind the dark and gritty single which unravels around sonic layers of electronic doom, bendy basslines, and incredibly distinctive drum fills. Imagine Nick Cave and Queen of the Stone Age having an aural lovechild, and you may just get an idea of what you’re in store for with Hands’ standout 2018 single.
