In his first ever single his bluesy guitar rhythms guide you through the lucidly light progressions and set the perfect platform for the soulfully piercing vocals to hit you. There’s a tinge of the archaic Americana energy behind Draw Close, yet the experimentally devious attack of sonically-driven guitars prove that there are still so many different directions to take guitar music in. On top of the fretboard mastery and the captivating vocal wizardry the track is also produced to absolute perfection. There aren’t many artists with the ability to compose a radio-ready beat with their first singles, yet, Greg Colbeck proves that he’s not your average artist. I can’t wait to see what he can do with a full album.
