Gabriel Vargas seems to make music which moves beyond the straightforward task of assigning genres and into territory which requires more emotive labels. Pop might describe the accessibility, electro the beat, rock the density and so on but you really need to start using words such as ethereal, dramatic, emotive and cinematic to fully capture the intensity and dexterity of his music.
Like Wolves pulls heart-strings for sure but it also offers lyrics that really engages the listener, gives you something to think about. The result is music which whilst engaging both, heads straight for the soul. Vargas has explored many styles and delivered his music via a range of musical platforms but here he seems to cover the widest music spectrum, hop genres from rock to pop to world to soul with ease and create a song which tops even his already high benchmark.
