Whatever your musical inclinations are, up and coming Indie Electronica artist Gaisma’s single “Trusting the Light” is guaranteed to leave you transfixed.
I’ve heard a fair amount of progressive music as of late, but no soundscape can quite compare to Trusting the Light. The 3-minute orchestration kicks off with darkly explorative neo-classical synthy tones laced with ominous effect. And only when you are mid-way through Trusting the Light does the sense of rhythm grip you. I’d got complacent in my assumption that the single was purely instrumental – the instrumental arrangement never allowed you to dare to believe that there was something missing. But Gaisma’s strikingly stunning vocals kick in towards the end, and they felt like the light at the end of the aural tunnel.
