Up and coming experimental artist Francisco Recabarren released his debut album “New Counterculture” in March 2019, and there’s no disputing that he achieved all he set out to in creating a new aural counter culture. Which is especially perceptible in the standout single “City of Luck” which will treat you to a slightly vintage feel as the Chilean born artist blends together Pop, Rock, and Indie Electronica. While the ingenuity in his sound can be appreciated, such a Lo-Fi production diluted the intensity of City of Luck. With the vocal harmonies suitably muted and the melodies quietened under the reverb it was hard to truly appreciate Francisco Recabarren’s talent behind the single.
