The golden ratio is a mathematical concept which is commonly adopted in design for an aesthetically pleasing effect, yet with their track “Golden Ratio” up and coming artist FiXe have just taken Math Rock one step further. Naturally, the single unfolds with an intellectual and artful sensibility whilst never being in danger of ostentatiousness.
The single which was written and performed by Mike Ruy and Phil Bennett allows you to appreciate Classic Rock tones in a melodically paced single which seamlessly progresses as the momentum gently ebbs and flows. The vocals and lyrics may be few and far between in Golden Ratio, but with their stripped-back instrumentals, the track still offers a strong intrinsic pull, complete with mesmeric riffs, and indulgent rhythm.
