Tired of listening to plasticised Pop music? I know I am, and that’s just one of the reasons I couldn’t resist the emotively compelling nature of up and coming Indie Pop artist FADWA’s latest single “Balloon”.
The level of quaintly fractured distinction in the vocals paired with the Lo Fi recording of the demo was enough to leave us instantaneously enamoured by the Folk Pop single which is sure to be appreciated by fans of other morosely mused artists such as Bill Ryder-Jones, Frightened Rabbit, and Daughter. The stripped back acoustic instrumentals sit in perfect synergy with the vocals which slip into the rest of the mix adding to the fragmented melodies which are still just as enticing as the biggest of Pop choruses.
Considering that Balloon is the first song ever recorded by the singer-songwriter, it’s all too exciting to anticipate what comes next.
