Musicians come in all different manners and forms, but every now and again, you’ll hit play on a track from an artist and it’s immediately perceptible that they were born to put their resonant messages against a melody and verse them to the world. And that’s exactly what happened when I had the pleasure of discovering E. L. Davis’ new EP “Brave Songs”. Whilst each of the singles was as uniquely captivating as the last, the perfect introduction to E. L. Davis’ sound is undoubtedly “Next Life”.
Next Life is an effortlessly melodic, instantly captivating single which will definitely be of interest to any fans of U2, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, and Sting. The American born, Hong Kong-based singer-songwriter, doesn’t compromise the accessibility of his sound with overcomplicating his tracks, Next Life is stripped bare; just as his soul is exposed in the lyrics.
You can check out E. L. Davis’ single Next Life along with the rest of the Brave Songs EP for yourselves by heading over to Spotify now.
