There are some artists who don’t need to tell you that their first tracks were their first attempts, it’s painfully evident in the soundwaves. Yet, with DonDrastic’s debut hit Snare Drum, you’ll be wondering just where he has been hiding his high-fire flavour when it comes to waxing lyrical and creating a heavy, fresh beats. As you can expect from a track named Snare Drum, there’s plenty of snare kicks from the 808’s, yet, nothing will pull you into the progression of the track as much as the bars, there was almost a touch of Insane Clown Posse madness to the lyricism, yet DonDrastic’s rhythmically fluid sensibility waves elements of uplifting R&B into the mix for the ultimate urban aural hit.
