I will never tire from listening to the sonorous sounds of punchy guitar-driven Alt-Rock, especially if they’re created by an absolute powerhouse of musicians. Thankfully that’s just what Daydream-Nation is comprised of, which they have proved with their latest single Dream On.
Placing Daydream-Nation in a genre is almost an impossible task considering their incorporation of Post Punk, anthemic Pop Punk, your classically styled Indie with a bit of Soft Rock for good measure.
The guitar progression throughout the track is astounding, it seamlessly switches from up-beat jangles to grindingly dirty riffs whist Daydream-Nation retain their atmospheric edge. For a band that started out in a garage in Northern Ireland, it’s safe to say they’ve come a along way considering the almost perfect production quality of their latest track Dream On. It’s almost unbelievable that such a raucously heavy sound was created by a trio of musicians, the dynamic in their sound is beyond what many Alt Rock artists could dream of. Whilst the guitars hooks are dangerously sharp, it’s even harder not to fall under the mercy of the soulfully sweet soaring Rock vocals.
I could keep telling you how amazing Daydream Nation are, but why don’t you head on over to SoundCloud and check out their latest track Dream On for yourselves?
