Obviously, there was no forgetting singer-songwriter David Wakeling from the first time we were introduced to their sentimentally striking songwriting style with their single “Just Believe in Yourself”.
With their latest single “Just Say You Love Me (I’ll Believe It)”, we braced for the potency of his emotive expression to bleed through the notes and were bowled over all the same.
The light and airily candid approach David Wakeling took with the Indie Pop soundscape offered much more than catharsis. It’s a psychedelic feat of kaleidoscopic synthy escapism. If your heart doesn’t feel full after ingesting this timeless yet futuristically fresh track, it might be a little broken.
Their ability to make their tracks experimental, creative and colourful at the same time as being impossibly easy to slip into is a rare gift. And we’ll always be happy to hear what that gift can bring to the airwaves.
