It may seem as though it’s going out of style to verse coherently thanks to the amount of mumble rap artists clogging the sound waves, but the spoken word style of Criss Jrumz’s single was infinitely refreshing to listen to. The South Florida-based artist’s timeless approach to the genre allowed his aurally enigmatic style to grip you through the down-tempo pacing of the beat. The seamless fluidity of the beat came courtesy of the production by Lucid Soundz; it doesn’t take a genius to see how he got his name.
