Their ability to orchestrate a single which was fraught with potent emotion at the same time as being utterly transfixing was nothing short of aural alchemy. Appreciation of the soundscape constantly bounces between the evocative pull of the vocals and the ethereal chills which creep from the instrumental arrangement. Each time you hit play you’ll find new indulgent textures to explore.
The level of talent on display in Another One could have only ever come from an artist who has committed to the passion for artistic expression – and it has more than paid off. Another One finds perfect balance between revival and prodigal vision, showing everyone who believed that guitar music was dead just how wrong they were.
Elements of Classic Rock concordantly clash with Folk-style arrangements to create a soundscape which you will never have heard reminiscence to before. Imagine a mash-up between Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Levellers and you may just be able to get an idea of what Finnian James has created with his stunning debut which has already left us insatiable for their next release.
