Koko Nova has made an artful alt-pop debut with, ‘Addicted to You’

https://soundcloud.com/iamkokonova/addicted-to-you/s-YspngYgqcGg

For her debut single, alt-pop artist Koko Nova served a seductive slice of era-spanning European electro-pop that won’t fail to leave you arrested through the atmospheric post-punk elements amongst the 90s pop artfully anthemic grooves.

The sonic experience itself is enough to get you excited about Koko Nova. Yet, with a successful corporate career behind her and a background in science that feeds into the constructs of her sound, you don’t just get the sense that her music is intellectually inspired; you get the affirmation.

If you pay close enough attention to the lyrics, you’ll find that Addicted to You isn’t your usual saccharine love song; instead, it is a siren call to our habits that form around our vices. Something tells us that her sophomore single will be just as subversive.

Addicted to You released on April 23rd; you can check it out for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud.

Finding your voice with debut release: ‘I’m Going Down’ by Ristlynn shows total honesty

With a new direction comes much excitement and also much anxiousness. You have put your emotions out there to the world for the first time and this can be a scary feeling. Ristlynn is a brand new artist and he drops the honest story of his current feeling about life on the rhythmical ‘I’m Going Down‘.

His Electro-Pop style is magnetic and he takes us on a story of feeling really down right now. The drinks are flowing way too much and the stress level is at an all-time high. The world is a crazy place and he is struggling to get out of this worrying rut. We all deal with traumatic experiences differently and this is a hard time. Through music however, the expressive nature will help and may new fans will relate to this song and this is a great way to get it all out in the open. Healing through music is healthy, instead of bottling it all inside.

With a catchy style, honest lyrics and an expressive energy, Ristlynn shows the world what he is all about on ‘I’m Going Down‘. This is a welcome addition to the airwaves of the world as honesty is often lacking in music with bling and swag overshadowing what music is actually about- helping others and making music that means something.

The love doctor is here: EDM producer/singer Deep Gordon tells it how it is on ‘Your Horoscope’

https://soundcloud.com/deepgordon/your-horoscope/s-ddlzh3GmGeL

He has an unmistakable style, full of originality in an often sheep-filled world of cliched clones. Deep Gordon is back with the enthusiastic debut track from his ‘Horny‘ EP called ‘Your Horoscope‘.

”A song about being in the moment and doing what you like to do..if you like that.”- Deep Gordon

With an abundance of vivid lyrics that soaks the song up with a fun vibes to party with, this is all about just going for it. Deep goes all the way in here and isn’t holding back at all. He is in love and what to show it- nothing is holding him back now.

This is an artist who has found his niche and is making sure that his music is like no other. A trait that we can all appreciate, even if you aren’t an EDM fan.

The beat grabs you by the ears and wants you to lock in, this is a jam to play with friends on the weekend house party with a swimming pool close by. The songs saucy lyrics will make you a bit sweaty with all the dancing and playful banter.

Deep Gordon is a likable personality and ‘Your Horoscope‘ is the kind of EDM song that you either love or hate, there is no in-between. One thing we can all agree on is that this is so entertaining and will draw a smile from most. This is what music is for- to entertain and break down barriers.

‘Two of a Kind’ by Australian 3 Piece Alt-Rock band Age of Iguana is a slice of tasty awesomeness

Two of a Kind by Age of Iguana

Two of a Kind‘ by Australian 3 Piece Alt-Rock band Age of Iguana is a slice of tasty awesomeness due to the quality sound and storytelling ingenuity.

Age of Iguana are based outta funky and vibrant Melbourne. They are a fine outfit that have that unique sound that is so welcome in the dark and dodgy alley called 2020.

You care about them so much and want to be together. Right now is just not the time as things are complicated but time should heal all. Life is just crazy right now and you just need to be patient to make sure you don’t do anything you might regret. You two are perfectly matched and you want this to work so badly.

This is a band that are so cool and fresh. They bring their best to the table and the results are deliciously packed into a tasty burger with fries.

Age of Iguana return with a rugged Alt-Rock track that keeps you bouncing the whole 6 minutes and 6 seconds. They just have that little bit of extra class that most acts don’t, the sound is tight and the solos are just plain masterful.

The vocals bite like a hungry kitty cat and they claw you in so gently. This is a top band with a sound that brings you back to the good days of music.

The solo journey begins: Glasgow’s Laird goes solo and speaks the truth on ‘Rock & Roll Has Died’

Sometimes solo artists work out after being in bands half their lives. Sometimes however, they crash, burn and go back to the old band or form a new one. This time, we find an artist with an extra edge and a hunger that will clean out the buffet table.

Glasgow’s Laird has gone solo and speaks the truth on ‘Rock & Roll Has Died‘. He loves this genre of music and it’s inside his bones, his blood flows with kick ass tunes that rocks the house down.

After being in a few well-respected local bands in the Glasgow area that were blessed enough to share the stage with Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Biffy Clyro and more, this artists career has come full circle.

New York legend Nas famously said that Hip Hop was dead. This has the same kind of energy and truth to it. That pure Rock & Roll vibe that was huge for many years has gone down in terms of mainstream appeal as electronic and other watered down music dominated the airwaves and radio.

Rock & Roll Has Died‘ from Scotland’s Laird has that old school feel to it as he expressed his love for this style of music. The energy is high, his vocals are so good and this is a track that takes you back to the good times. The genre will never fully die but it does feel that it could be much better. Hopefully Rock & Roll rises from the dead and returns to the top of the minds of music fans globally.
