UK RnB Hip Hop Crooner SAMO Turned Up the Heat in ‘STEEL’

Slovak-born, Sheffield, UK-raised SAMO has given UK hip hop a brand-new indie RnB flavour with his sophomore single, STEEL. The short and sweetly melodic single starts with simple acoustic guitar strings before bringing in the bass-heavy beats that flow to the dynamic progressions under SAMO’s vulnerably crooned vocals.

With the anticipation of the producer, singer and rapper’s debut album that is due to drop later this year, there are few names in the urban UK arena that are as synonymous with commercial potential as SAMO, who takes inspiration from the likes of XXXtentacion, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Brent Fiyaz.

STEEL is now available to stream on Spotify.

Transcend Outer Stace’s latest single, Smoove, featuring Mobbin101

Feel the heat of the chemistry in Outer Stace’s latest RnB pop single, Smoove, featuring the rap icon in the making, Mobbin101. The Bay Area artist brought the sun-kissed tropic tones of her hometown in the exotic production, which pours plenty of warm saturated delay on the smooth trappy beats to set the cinematically affectionate tone.

Clearly, Outer Stace, who is now signed to Exotic Mob Music, had no issue asserting her autonomy in the mellifluous track, which was crafted to get you in the mood by capturing the innocent side of the outset of romantic affection. There’s a lyrical tentativeness, which efficaciously contrasts the strident romanticism between the layered vocals. Get ready to fall head over heels.

Smoove is now available to stream on YouTube.

Zackwa is on his own experimental plateau in ‘All Praise and Glory’

With the fluid transitions between the Prince-Esque vocalised harmonies and the blazing rap bars that are just as convictive as RZA’s, Zackwa’s latest single, All Praise and Glory transcends the constrictive nature of genre boundaries. That is before you account for the experimental accordance in the ambient electronica meets new age hip hop instrumentals.

Zackwa strives to rise above the mundane energy of the world, and it’s safe to say he is not only in another league. He is operating from a new dynamic plateau, constructed by his autonomy and inclination to verse introspective gold into the strained atmosphere of the 21st century.

The claws are out in Harmonical’s latest single, Cat on Heat, featuring Élan Noelle

It has been a phenomenal run for the effortlessly distinctive RnB artist Harmonical (AKA songwriter & producer James Stretten) with his cinematically contemporary songs appearing on the credits of Hollyoaks and constantly spun on BBC Introducing.

His latest single, Cat on Heat, featuring the enrapturing robust vocals of Washington RnB soul singer, Élan Noelle, is yet another reason to fall head over heels for his funk-riding euphonic sonic signature.

With a narrative as compelling as the Copacabana, the lyrics in Cat on Heat are almost enough to bring out the popcorn. The dynamic that the lyric “she’s my best friend, but she is like a cat on heat” sets up a scenario that most will be able to relate to.

The music video to Cat on Heat premiered on August 11th. Check it out for yourselves by heading over to YouTube.

Vonsíwel – I Love It: And So Do We

Urban fusionist, Vonsíwel is hotter than a fever dream in his latest single, I Love It, which melds layers of RnB with smoothly evocative pop textures to pay a romantic ode to the object of his all-consuming desire.

The boundary-pushing singer-songwriter may be uniquely wired, but that hasn’t stopped tens of thousands of fans from revelling in the resonance of his modernist spin on RnB.

Honestly, I Love It is enough to give me unrealistic romantic expectations (as if I don’t have those anyway). Although, bravely, Vonsíwel isn’t afraid to explore the lows in life as intrepidly as the highs with his music, which is inspired by the likes of Ne-Yo, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Prince and Michael Jackson.

I Love It is now available to stream on Spotify.

Char Elizabeth – Rock with Me: An RnB Meditation in Passion

https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=EQbW7vI0FmY&feature=share

Taken from her latest EP, In2me, which delivers 20 minutes of unadulterated ethereal soul, Char Elizabeth’s standout single, Rock with Me, is a meditation in passion.

With the prominence of the trappy bass-driven beats in the minimalist production, it is all too easy to get lost in the sultry flow of Rock with Me as it acts as the ultimate soundtrack to sensual seduction.

The Canadian-born NY-based award-winning singer-songwriter and producer started by working with local bands at the outset of her career; today, her list of successes is almost as infinite as her gravitas. To name a few, she has signed to a sub-label of Def Jam records, contributed to Run DMC’s album, Crown Royal, and her vocals have appeared in Disney films. In other words, she’s an unstoppable force in the industry. Affix her to your radar and watch her ascend.

RnB and Trap Intertwine in Ta’Sj Pure’s Seminal Single, Lies

Taken from his debut album, So Sincere, the up-and-coming RnB artist Ta’Sj Pure’s single, Lies, is one of the best introductions to his melodically soulful sonic signature.

After a wavey intro, the New Jersey native goes in heavy with the lyrical evocative weight in his effect-laden Trap-style harmonised vocal timbre while the single progresses into experimentalism scarcely seen in the RnB scene. His tendency to play with melody and swathes of off-kilter bass transforms Lies into a completely unique RnB aesthetic that any innovation seekers will easily be sated by.

Ignore Texts: MARE hits the gas on her savage new single BIBLE

Dropping the gloves and showing that she is a valuable diamond in a seemingly lawless raw world, MARE says a little prayer and sings with impressive gusto on her leave-him-behind single for all the ladies on BIBLE.

MARE is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based indie RnB solo singer-songwriter who performs with an exquisite excellence that shall have you pressing repeat.

Mare is inspired by the likes of Jill Scott and Jazmine Sullivan, as she uses her music as an avenue to empower women and men.” ~ MARE describing her inspirations (taken via her bio)

With her elegant ways and gorgeously toned vocals that might have you thinking you’re back in the classic 90s, MARE is undeniably one of the more appealing RnB singers around. Her no-nonsense attitude is a gloriously important example for all those who need to know that self-worth should be the number one priority.

BIBLE from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based indie RnB artist MARE is a brilliant single about showing us that loyalty is the key to everything. After growing tired of the lies and cancelled plans, this is a dynamic song for anyone who has felt let down before by a past lover. Blessed by a catchy beat that will have you brushing off all the past romantic failures, leading us into a better mindset where a new love can blossom with the right person.

When you have been let down too many times, it’s best to walk away from that situation forever.
