Sani Knight is a Los Angeles, California-based indie artist who fuses RnB, hip hop and pop in his own incomparable way which sizzles airwaves awake like an alarm clock.

Let Em Know: Young Monte just goes with the flow on Stand By You

Known by many as a chill trap originator of the highest order as he reaches for the sky, Young Monte is in soulful form as he tries to stay in the moment and make sure he is still searching for meaningful love on Stand By You.

Young Monte is a 27-year-old Oxnard, California-based indie RnB singer-songwriter who has sliced away from his meat clerk job and into the fires of the music world.

The song was an interesting process as I did both vocals in the song I was inspired by Kendrick Lamar when he would do some of his verses in his high pitch voice thus was inspired to make “stand by you” however I had fun doing it as I love r&b music to death and hope some day I can cement a legacy of my own.” ~ Young Monte

With only one year in the game, Young Monte kicks through later just for the fun and is in no mood to be attached right now, until there is special ‘the one’ sauce in the buns. This is the kinda flow to play when you need to know that there is no point in getting stressed out in life when there is no point in getting down.

Stand By You from Oxnard, California-based indie RnB singer-songwriter Young Monte is a rather special single made with so much reflective energy to intertwine inside. This is the type of track to be illuminated inside when the heart is almost ready to open up again, after being hurt previously.

When you’re looking for the one, your eyes spark like none before.

Tre. Charles melded soulful undertones with resonantly mantric vocals in his ambient indie dream-pop single, Lately.

I’ve been around the shoegaze and dream-pop block a fair few times, but the latest single, Lately., from the alt-indie artist, Tre. Charles, is a strikingly crystal-clear cut above the rest.

With his soulful vocals bleeding into the choral amalgam of trip-hop, Avant-Garde RnB, ambient electronica and indie rock, the quiescently powerful release is a feat of unparalleled consoling alchemy.

Staying true to his brand of soulful undertones, resonantly mantric vocals, and evocative crooning, the East Coast-born artist orchestrated an efficaciously disarming hit that will make your soul as perceptible as the one poured into the lyrics.

Any fans of James Blake, Frank Ocean, Sampha, and Moses Sumney won’t want to miss out on this reverb-drenched opportunity to form a connection with the award-winning D’angelico Guitars-sponsored artist. We’re officially stoked for the upcoming EP due for release in 2023.

Lately. will officially release on March 15th; hear it on SoundCloud.

ANGELCONCEPCION is emboldeningly iconic in her RnB Soul instant classic, Like I Was

Here to take to the sting out of retrospective romantic regret is the emboldening RnB icon, ANGELCONCEPCION, with her latest single, Like I Was.

The lyrics may not explicitly verse that deceit and someone degrading you to drag you down to their lowly levels happens to the best of us, but given the elegance and grace of every inch of this elevated instant classic, it’s heavily implied through ANGELCONCEPCION’s heavenly vocal beguile.

Fusing a modernist tonal palette while pulling at the roots of RnB and soul allowed the Philadelphia-residing Filipino artist to reach the crux of the contemporary curve before transcending it through her effortlessly flawless energy. The bluesy guitars shimmering behind the lush reverb is a lesson in aural intoxication. Grab a glass and get your fill.

Like I Was dropped on March 1st; hear it on SoundCloud.

All The Misconceptions: Alex Maes and The Connection transmits deeper than most on We

Searching for the truth and performing with so much elegant class, Alex Maes and The Connection swim away from the misconceptions on the deeply-projected new single We.

Alex Maes and The Connection is a New England-based indie RnB/jazz group that just loves putting smiles on faces all over the world.

The Connection established themselves as a versatile trio that could elevate any song, but after performing and playing Alex’s music they realized they had created a unique sound, so with Alex they decided to formally call themselves Alex Maes & The Connection. Together they have graced the stages of Rockwood Music Hall, The Narrows, and Boston City Plaza. Additionally, they have been nominated for awards in New England Music Awards 2021 (Best R&B/Soul Nominee) and New England Last Band Standing Competition 2022 (Finalists) for their lyrics, music, and engaging performances.” ~ Alex Maes and The Connection

Tingling our hearts and displaying so much poise and precision, Alex Maes and The Connection are rather spectacular on this ear-soothing single of much substance. This is that Sunday afternoon meditation soundtrack to drift away for a little while, in a world which seems to make everything so unnecessarily complicated.

We from New England-based indie RnB/jazz group is a rather thought-provoking single which will put many minds into a different mindset altogether. Serene to the core and showing us a cinematic-like story, this is a rather stunning effort which shall ease all fears away.

Back To Your Arms: Kinju wonders why a past lover made him into a Ghost

Remembering the broken trust and something other than real, Kinju roams rather quietly inside a reflective soundtrack for anyone who feels so lonely like a Ghost after a traumatic breakup.

Kinju is a Puerto Rico-born Denver, Colorado-based indie RnB singer-songwriter who makes honent melodies to alleviate all worries away.

21 years old but have gone through experiences most people my age can’t even think of and that my friend; is what brings me to music.” ~ Kinju

Softly spoken but ensuring full eloquence with a tremendous performance, Kinju is on top form with Ghost and drifts slowly into all facets of our lives. This is that real message to lather inside when we needed it most after wanting something that isn’t meant to be.

Ghost from Denver, Colorado-based indie RnB singer-songwriter Kinju is a rather incredible single which will make many wonder why love has to be complicated sometimes. Taking our minds into a deeper place of understanding with a tinge of regret, this is a rather eye-opening story millions have sadly felt before in this odd world.

8rii put the soul in indecision in her latest single, Stay

8rii

Independent singer-songwriter, 8rii, earned herself a spot on the East London RnB map with her latest emotionally elevated latest single, Stay. Putting the soul in indecision, the Ashanti & Aaliyah-inspired artist created a compelling exposition of how jarringly contradictory our minds become when the right romantic path is impossible to discern from the wrong one.

Any artist able to paint the complexities of the human psyche is more than worth having on your playlists, and that’s without mentioning the melodic mesmerism of the lo-fi RnB instrumentals that deliciously flirt with the Afroswing style.

Stay will officially release on March 10th. Until then, check out the artist on Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.

Two To Many epitomised decadent devotion in their modernist take on RnB, Fasho (Fall in Love)

Two To Many turned up the heat with their simmering amalgam of RnB, Hip-Hop and Pop, Fasho (Fall in Love). Capturing the unparalleled sensation of falling so deeply you see stars, Fasho isn’t a track you listen to; it is one you feel.

The single by the duo featuring the silky-smooth vocal timbre of Markus Shields leaves no room to wonder about the sincerity of the devotion projected through the ardently melodious grooves and the lyrics that flirt with salaciousness while rising above the lascivious fray.

The modernist spin on RnB may pay tribute to the roots of the genre, but the contemporary production styling allowed the duo to establish itself as one to watch while it brings in the future of the genre. The LA-based songwriter, dancer, choreographer and producer, Markus Shields is a soulful force to be reckoned with.

Fasho (Fall in Love) is now available to stream on Spotify.

Ninali reached the pinnacle of ‘Smooth’ in her latest feat of jazzy soul pop nostalgia

Ninali

There was no forgetting Ninali after hearing her affectionately wanderlust track, Tokyo, which hit the airwaves at the end of 2022. To start 2023 with a sultry bang, she’s amalgamated a sentimentally demure cocktail of pop, jazz and RnB.

The mid-tempo piece, Smooth, was co-produced by the legendary producer M. Shanks, who also applied their deft touch to the tantalising timbres in Tokyo, which marked the first release for Ninali in over a decade.

With Smooth, sensuously 80s-nostalgia-soaked instrumentals swell and tropically groove around the aphoristically harmonised vocal lines, which simultaneously put you in the mood while facilitating the purer purpose of reminding you how sweet it is to meet someone that defines serendipity. It is worth falling in love just to fully appreciate this delicious track.

Smooth will officially release on February 17th. Hear it on all major platforms via this link.

Alex Caban embraced the future of Afrobeat Hip-Hop with ‘Anything’, featuring Jessica Peros

Brooklyn-based Hip-hop and Afrobeat fusionist Alex Caban is in fiery fresh form in his latest visionary EP, Love Letters. In the standout single, Anything, dark, moody, and future-ready electronica motifs collide with more evocatively inclined instrumentals to balance soul and scorn; the lyrical interplay between Caban and the featuring artist Jessica Peros amplifies the evocatively torrid gravity of the release to the nth degree. If there is any track that alludes to the danger of limerence, it is this consistently evolving narrative of insecurity, jealousy and passion.

With Jessica Peros’ Lady Gaga-Esque sultry vocal lines against Caban’s rapid-fire canter that will leave heads in a rhythmic spin, Anything is an impassioned triumph that makes no bones about alluding to how deep emotions run. Instead of scratching the surface, the lyricality of Caban’s emotionally-rounded triumph digs affectionately deep.

With meta lines such as “You’re not an astronaut, so why are you needing space”, the stellar production and the sonic distinction, you can consider Alex Caban a triple-threat.
