Trevor Quest lets us know it is ‘Over’ in his latest RnB dream-pop single.

Trevor Quest

In his latest single, Over, the experimental RnB artist Trevor Quest conceptually shows us the correlation between ‘forever’ and ‘over’, highlighting our romantic tendency to immortalise our affection, regardless of how fleeting it is.

The melodic and warm instrumentals run through plenty of echoey and wobbly tape delay effects to give the soundscape a psychotropic effect while vocally, Quest lets emotion breathe through his airily lovelorn lyrics Over is a friendly reminder that leaving expired relationships behind doesn’t have to leave you bitter and scorned.

Over is now available to stream and download on apple music.

Gabrielle Ornate has released her ethereal synth-pop anthem, Waiting to be Found.

Gabrielle Ornate

‘Waiting to be Found’ is the latest colossal alt-pop single from the luminary artist Gabrielle Ornate, which allows synths to bring a post-punk-style atmosphere while she feeds new-age-style-soul into the vibrant, massive production through the unapologetically intense vocals.

It is easily one of the most ethereal summer pop anthems that you will hear this year, or any other year, given that feels like quite the sonic paradox. Despite the alchemic ingenuity of the release, accessibility oozes through the sincerity and the rhythmic pull of the dark and sultry dance pop-rock earworm.

Waiting to Be Found was officially released on August 6th; you can check it out for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud.

Dallas of America takes us on a HONEYMOON with his soul-soaked debut single.

Dallas of America’s debut single, HONEYMOON, captures RnB, jazz and sunny Afrobeat rhythms through a contemporary lens while letting the tonally lavish single ooze old school soul.

The cinematic title brings back the big band vibe with the stabbing brass section and the melodic staccato guitar grooves that pull together to create the perfect platform for the RnB pop vocals that wouldn’t be out of place in a Gospel RnB single. But this secular serenade that revives romanticism will be just as sweet to the pious and impious alike.

The official music video for HONEYMOON premiered on June 21st; you can check it out for yourselves by heading over to YouTube.

Camille Rose soulfully meanders through melancholy in her jazz single, Raining in July

South-East London-born and raised Jazz singer-songwriter Camille Rose’s signature sound is quickly becoming synonymous with arrestingly unique jazz instrumentals that groove and improvise around her soulfully lush vocals.

Before the first verse runs through in her latest single, Raining in July, you’ll find yourself captivated by the mellifluously rich soundscape that flows with such ease and finesse; listening to it is as easy as breathing. For anyone going solo this summer, Raining in July should be a feel-good playlist staple for the way it captures romantic grief but emanates radiant soul despite the wistful sorrow.

Through the influence of Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, the 24-year-old artist started studying jazz performance at Trinity Laban conservatoire to hone in on her craft. Discernibly, she has already mastered the art of weaving narratively compelling lyrics into a melodically cathartic soundscape. We can’t wait to hear what follows.
