Gonçalo Santana penned a reflectively compelling RnB memorandum with ‘Note to Self’

Swiss RnB visionary, Gonçalo Santana, has spent the last two years spilling soul onto the airwaves with his distinctively potent approach to the genre. At the start of 2023, he released his debut EP, Brainless, which concludes with the reflective philosophy in Note to Self.

Note to Self keeps 90s RnB at its core while elevating the multi-sensory experience with elements of gospel, which will easily leave you pious to the singer-songwriter’s poetic graceful beguile. The neo-classic-ESQUE piano melodies also go a long way in implanting gravitas within the soul-stirring intimate memorandum.

Like the best things in life, there’s a bitter-sweet emotionally complex sentimentality to the quiescent RnB ballad, delivering the definitive proof that Gonçalo Santana is the real sincere deal.

Note to Self was officially released on January 27th; hear it on SoundCloud.

Folarin & Keziah modernise Christian & Gospel in their fusionist soul-stirrer, Everything to Me

Folarin & Keziah

Christian & Gospel duo, Folarin & Keziah shared the love through their single, Everything to Me, which casts aside the traditional aural archetypes to bring in the new school of contemporary gospel. The eclectic fusionist style allows gospel instrumentals to evolve around the shimmering dualistically balanced harmonies. Soul-stirring scarcely scratches the surface of the emotions that flood to the surface while their sonic poetry is in motion.

The soaring electric guitar riff towards the outro of this compassionately enlightening single, which could have come from Prince himself, proves how serious the Nigeria-hailing, Canada-residing duo is when it comes to the modernisation of gospel. Yet even amidst all of the innovation, the original utility of Christian & Gospel resounds.

Everything to Me will officially release on December 30th; check it out via the artist’s official website. Stay tuned for their 2023 full-length LP, which will be followed by a Canadian tour.

Excellent Bury multi-skilled human wizard Joshua might have dropped one of the most electric tracks ever on Jane Doe

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovYA6uNHdf8

After wrestling the evil ghosts that lurked on the battlefield in May 2022 with the eerie classic Throne, Joshua is in supreme form with another exceptional track to magnify your conscious with Jane Doe.

Joshua is aka Joshua Ross is an unparalleled Bury, UK-based indie Gospel singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who stays away from the temptations of social media.

For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:2 (CSB)

Spreading the love of God and always keeping things admirably organic, Joshua wields his creative muscles to the absolute maximum and gouges a massive hole to inside our lives. With vocals that seem to echo through the window as you wonder where that lost soul went to, in this darkly lit world which has so many treacherous alleys to get disoriented inside.

Jane Doe from Bury, UK-based indie Gospel singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joshua shall surely sizzle your senses and satisfy all those I-need-to-hear-a-proper track right now mentality. With so much watered down into tasteless ear-hurters, this is a welcome slap to the face. In a good way, of course. This feels soul-healing. Thank you Joshua.
