With a sensory overload which might trigger many sentiments usually saved for a blockbuster movie, DJ Blitz destroys all fragility with a rather laser-swooshing effort to turn up when the day is dull, Taking Over Future 3.

DJ Blitz is an in-demand Miami, Florida-based electronic producer, songwriter and acclaimed DJ who loves it when thousands are bending the floors of dance floors everywhere.

At the age of 16, Blitz knew that he wanted to be a DJ after hearing a song titled “Alone” by one of his influences, Producer / DJ Marshmello.” ~ DJ Blitz

Fleeing the trenches and gaining steam like a runway train throughout, DJ Blitz justifies the hype with the type of performance to wake up early for. With a dominant production and so much to be inspired by, this is a rather sledgehammer-like display for those who love it rather barrage-filled.

Taking Over Future 3 from Miami, Florida-based electronic producer DJ Blitz is a rather weighty experience to cherish for anyone who needed to knock the dust off. Lathered in a powerful vortex of menace, while the hardcore soundscape tears down the frantic and grows up the innocent ears left.

This is one for those clubheads who are still on the sweaty dancefloor.

Starya went interstellar with her cosmically ethereal electro-clash hit, Jealous

Fusing the provocative electro-clash energy and snappy vocal melodies of Peaches with the demure indie cool of the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, the luminary art-pop songstress Starya’s latest single, Jealous, is tantalisingly interstellar. But that isn’t all; this alchemically amalgamated cocktail hybridises itself even further with elements of hip-hop, techno and dubstep, giving the bass a kick and the beats an irresistible pulse you’ll want to synergise with time and time again.

LA is known for breeding iconic artists by the applecart, but if anyone has what it takes to rock it and squeeze out new juice it is the singer-songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ who is making light work of transcendent aural domination. Once you’ve had your jealousy fill, stay tuned for the upcoming EP, Find The Key, set to be released in February 2023.

Jealous hit the airwaves on January 31st. It is now available to streams on all major platforms via this link.

Poseidon’s Alley as Vast as the Ocean

Did you ever have that experience of listening to David Bowie’s “Low” and thinking: “damn, this like nothing you’ll hear anywhere…” only to discover that it’s a brilliant blend of styles that never ought to have worked together? A similar, if not identical, experience can be had by listening to  LA-based Poseidon’s Alley AKA Tim Herscovitch.

While writing the above sentences I was indulging in Dr. Gachet, a psychedelic, electronic, chill-wave instrumental track which owes more than a few overtures to groundbreaking alternative artists of the 70’s and 80’s, not to mention a little Miles Davis, for good measure. With lo-fi pads supporting a funky guitar groove we journey through layers of catchy themes played on synths and a host of other instruments. I suppose what’s most impressive is the neo-classical elements of blending different moods and transitioning through them, much like movements in a concerto or symphony. Indeed, Dr. Gachet is never boring – and the captivating melodies, harmonies, and rhythms are augmented by the interesting timbers chosen to carry the same.

Poseidon’s Alley shows first-rate musicianship, which is why I was not all that surprised to find that Herscovitch is a professor of music. A quick look at his rating on ratemyprofessor.com shows that (according to his students) he’s passionate about education as well as music. This is nice to see as I have always felt as though educators ought to always maintain a link to the professional world and it seems that Tim Herscovitch is doing just that.

Trip-Hop’s Chosen One: Aroly Tariq

Aroly Tariq, in many was, is the culmination of promises made to electronic music fans from a generation ago. Where we had to scour used CD bins around the “acid jazz” and “trip-hop” labels to find a lovely female voice sweetly crooning over a slow and smooth beat… Don’t believe me? Then give “Perspective,” her newest track (available on Spotify) a listen. If you don’t hear what we all loved in Transistor, Portishead, Static Sound System, or Everything but the Girl – then you’re not paying attention.

The song: a lo-fi loop begins bubbling up – it’s so ethereal but quiet like you’re listening to someone’s radio a few blocks away. Then Ms. Tariq begins to sing. A breathy and upper frequency tone matches the one coming from the loop, and you get the impression that if you just turned down one band of the EQ, you’d have silence. Finally, a hiccupping and disjointed drum line comes in, and the world makes sense. It’s so elegant and mysterious, but catchy and full of groove at the same time.

A trek through Aroly Tariq’s Instagram was plesently engaging – where I’m used to seeing young female pop icons presenting themselves in sultry shots, Ms. Tariq is sharing some rather stunning visual arts. They look like surreal digital landscapes of vibrant dark colors. I don’t know if these images are of her own creation or art to go along with her music, either way, it is both captivating and beautiful.

Back To Stay: Craymo craves that romantic conclusion on Love Me or Leave Me Alone

Looking for a final decision to improve his mood rather imminently, Craymo has dropped a superb new single to play rather loud all day long with the spectacular Love Me or Leave Me Alone.

Craymo is an Orlando, Florida-based indie electronic artist who grew up with a dreamer mentality and hasn’t stopped crushing challenges since back in the day.

After kindly sitting down with us for a truly insightful interview, Craymo slams away the frustration with a statement track for anyone who is beyond fatigued of not knowing the romantic intentions of a mysteriously enticing soul.

Love Me or Leave Me Alone from Orlando, Florida-based indie electronic musician Craymo is a rather dynamically honest track which will leave brittle hearts alive with fire. Projected so splendidly and absorbed with so much excitement, this is a rather top-notch effort to get truly astounded about.

This is the type of track to meditate with when you’re looking for that answer.
