Casino Rockets latest single “Conscience” kicks off with a reassuring riff to let you know you’re in the capable hands of a rhythmically-blessed Indie powerhouse. The licks of the Jangle Pop guitars fuse into the anthemically euphoric Soundscape which lends heavily from the New Wave Indie artists of the 80s, yet the vocal style carries a slightly more Rock edge adding a distinctive element to their sound setting them miles apart from the artists who are assimilating former sounds. If you don’t fall in love with Casino Rockets for the intricacy weaved into their progressive style, you certainly will for the upbeat sentimentally behind their latest single which carries a tinge of wistful melancholy. But, in the face of instrumentals which could have given the Smiths a run for their money back in the day, it’s hard to allow Conscience to resonate as anything but uplifting.
