This year we’ve seen no end of Trap artists emerging, but out of those artists there are only a handful taking to the 808’s and producing tracks which you can kick back and easily feel the flow to. The short and sweet production by Bronze Baby Shoes ‘No Way’ featuring Slug Christ which was released August 2018 and took a psychedelic route with the mix. It’s pretty rare that you’ll find this level of melody in a digitally composed track, yet, there are almost Shoegaze elements to the winding progressions with a lush level of sticky-sweet reverb from the synth. The effects were a little too heavy on the vocals which made the verses a little robotic, yet in a strange way it worked as the vocals seamlessly collided with the beat.
The unpredictable, downtempo, groove-soaked mix prove that the collaboration of producer Bronze Baby Shoes and Rap artist Slug Christ shouldn’t go their own way anytime soon.
