“The reason that we’re doing this is to inspire people,” the eponymous Brethren intone on the statement as any, and it informs the inspirational poetry around which a shiny soundscape is constructed. The Brethren exchanging verses becomes surrounded by gentle, finger-picked guitar, snippets of what appear to be street recordings, and it all combines to form a hypnotic whole.
