While there may be plenty of contemporary artists blending Country and Pop in their soundscapes, no one does it quite like up and coming singer-songwriter Bree Taylor. Instead of just incorporating the usual Country twang in a contemporary Pop mix, the eclectic instrumental arrangements allow the captivating Folk charm to run right through her recently released single “Drive”.
By far the most striking aspect to Drive is Bree Taylor’s unwillingness to bend to genre limitations. Bree Taylor has a striking tendency to run with her own authenticity instead of the authenticity of a music genre. In the punchy Pop hit, you’ll hear jangly ukulele notes and winding tensile guitar progressions which are not all too dissimilar from what you would hear from bands such as the Levellers.
