I may be notoriously hard to please when it comes to feel-good music, but even I couldn’t resist the euphoric alchemy which is contained in up and coming Alt Pop artist Billy Mick’s debut single “Flesh and Bone”.
With elements of Indie infused into the single through Jangle Pop guitar progressions and subtle elements of Rock fed into the momentous choruses, Flesh and Bone is by no means your average Pop hit.
Billy Mick’s naturally magnetic slightly whiskey-soaked vocals are just as efficacious as the EDM Pop beat when it comes to putting the hype behind Flesh and Bone. The single was written as a poignant reminder that the world is far too divisive considering that we’re essentially just walking meat sacks. He’s got a point. And he expressed it much more eloquently than I just did there through clever parables which are perspective-shiftingly powerful.
