As a general musical rule of thumb, the minute that you make a choir comprised of children and have them spreading messages of peace, love and resistance against modern day disparity the sentimentality hits you like an absolute brick.
BigTimeNate played a rather genius move with The Children’s Song which turned out to be pretty reminiscent of that iconic hit by the Black Eyed Pea’s – Where is the Love. Yet, the lyricism to The Children’s song packed infinitely more of a punch. The moment you consider seeing the world we live in today unfolding through a child’s eyes it’s one of the most harrowing contemplations your brain can engage within. As debut single’s go, BigTimeNate knocked it out of the park which mainly fell down to his evocative use of passion which created one of the most heart-wrenching tracks I’ve happened across this year. Move over Bono.
To check out BigTimeNate’s 2018 single which was created with a little help from seriously talented children, some, who may or may not have upstaged him (sorry Nate) head on over to Spotify and join me in having an existential crisis.
