Alexander Parlee has followed on from the success of their debut with the endearingly masterful Indie Folk single “As Long As You Need Me”. Their songwriting talent is one thing, their ability to project personable soul into the mix is quite another.
The sun-soaked blues guitars carve out succinct melodies which share the same warm tonality as Alexander Parlee’s vocals which should be of plenty of appeal to any fans of Elliot Smith, Paul Simon and Nick Drake.
While their solo project may be fresh from inception, the LA-based artist has seen plenty of success with their band including being chosen to play at the world-renowned Whiskey A Go Go during the venue’s 50th Anniversary Show. It wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that we can anticipate plenty of big things to come from Parlee in 2020.
