Whilst you may not come across many up and coming artists who you can positively compare to Frank Zappa very often, Aeon Antenna have released their latest single “RoboCock” to remind us how immersive and sporadically chaotic soundscapes can be.
With RoboCock – just one of the experimentally expressive singles from their latest album “Prodigal Sun”, it’s clear that the band possess ingenuity and know just how to turn their vision into a masterful aural delight. Yet, as much as I loved Aeon Antenna’s single, there may not be as much commercial potential for their raucously edgy sound as there would be if they arranged their sonically fierce instrumentals in a more archetypal manner to allow the sound to resonate with a wider audience.
