From South Africa to Australia: Indie singer-songwriter Oshua showcases his story of being stuck inside on ‘Monke’

South African born and Perth, Australia based new artist Oshua shows us his growing music maturity on the scrumptious new single called ‘Monke‘.

The refreshing sounds of tweeting birds in the background adds a natural element for our tired ears and we hear the fresh vocals of this young storyteller right away. His story of minding his own business and being stuck in his own head from the time alone and in this horrible pandemic, is so real. The lyrics are so understandable as we are all searching for that special soul to hold our hand tight and help us out of the sticky quicksand. That’s all we really need; an angel to help us get up and be strong again.

The Lofi-Pop with RnB fused in to make this a tasty song to lather our soul in, is a wonderful moment during this horrific year that doesn’t seem to end quick enough. This is a talented singer-songwriter who has a golden voice that seems to have a hint of honey coated filling inside to make it so sweet and tender.

There is lots of potential here and if he can stay focused and work out what he needs to do in order to properly prioritize his goals for a long-term impact, the sky is literally the limit for this young talent.

Australian based Oshua makes such sweetly juiced music on ‘Monke‘ and this makes you want to laze in bed all day, headphones on loud and forget all your worries while having a relaxing nap to replenish your soul.

J Pop-Punk Rock to blast loud: RinRin puts shade on fake former friends via debut single ‘The Game’

RinRin is a stylish Philippine-born singer-songwriter, guitarist, pop-punk music writer & producer who is a proudly Perth, Australia local. She drops into the solo music world barrel of a wave with her debut track titled ‘The Game’.

With a rampaging rock style and excellent vocals, you can tell that this young lady has been in the music game for a while and since she was 13, RinRin has been showing her skills to everyone around in her father’s cover band. With school and a blossoming solo career, this is a busy artist who seems to love every second of the ride, no matter what detours come across her path.

The story about how some people take you for granted is so relevant in the often-selfish world. You can always be there for your friends but some of them just take and take, with no thought of what their actions cause. This is a moment of maturity when you realize this and decide to move on without them. The scary part is that most of the time, they won’t even call or message you to see why you have gone quiet, instead making a scene when you bump into them again, putting all the blame on you. The ultimate manipulation is easy to see when you know what to look for.

Her guitar smashes the weak windows around and the production is so well put together. Her voice is fresh and honest, the Punk-Rock melodies bring back memories of top music from the 90’s. There is so much to like here and the message is riveting and stories how some just want to play games. This is an old soul that isn’t messing around. She believes in herself and this is a musician who can see the bigger picture.

A woman on a mission to get her solo music out to the world, RinRin blasts the speakers off the floor on ‘The Game’. She likes it loud and this is probably the best wake-up track I’ve heard in 2020. Turn it up and remember your goals you know you can obtain; not the fake people that just want to steal your good energy and greedily use it for their selfish ways.

Perth’s Efa dances into our heart with lovely jazz-pop ‘So Smooth’

Perth’s Efa dances into our heart with lovely jazz-pop as she sings about heartbreak on ‘So Smooth‘.

This song is all about a cliché high school romance that is based on true events. The song is inspired by old-time-style jazz music mixed with the new-aged dance pop. This works so well and is a fun song to dance to, be inspired by and perhaps be sad about too. Love lost is always a sad thing as we should all be happy.

Efa is a singer-songwriter, dancer-choreographer from Glen Innes in New South Wales, Australia. With a strong background in Contemporary, Jazz, and Musical Theatre which influences both her musical and choreographic style. After starting her music career when she was 12, this young, quirky and talented musician is ready for the next step in her music. She sings about real moments, she is genuine and has a lovely voice.

So Smooth‘ from Perth’s Efa is a fine song and comes with a fun video that will cheer anyone up that has dealt with heartbreak lately. What a massive talent with lots more to come.

Australia’s Gordon Holland sings for the colder months on ‘I’m Looking Forward To Winter’

Gordon Holland is back with the soulful ‘I’m Looking Forward To Winter‘ and this is such a gem to the tired ears.

Australian singer-songwriter Gordon Holland has been making waves all over the Melbourne’s music scene and is on top form here. Following his relocation from Perth and bringing with him his musical partner, the pair formed The Naysayers in 2010 and soon took their garage rock to live stages around Australia.

While still writing and working within The Naysayers, Gordon found himself on a solo path which saw him merging his musical creativity into waters that had previously been uncharted. Soon after, he collaborated with fellow singer-songwriter Charlie Lane where the two constructed her successful The Darkest Time.

Following on from such successes, Gordon has been sailing the seas between his Takamine acoustic and Fender Jaguar in a way that enables his music to flow through lyrics that are confessional and nostalgic yet humorous and wistful.

I’m Looking Forward To Winter‘ from Gordon Holland is an ode to the colder months where you can cuddle with your loved one. You smile when you think of all the hot chocolate and blankets. Perhaps your cat is close by and you can watch movies together and hide away for a while. All you want to do is snuggle close and get away from the world. The soft singer-songwriter vibes are so pleasant and I love the true stories here. This is a quality track for 2020.
