Chris Mike – Limerence: Theatrically Virtuosic Rock

It’s theatrical, it’s virtuosic, it’s ingeniously intense. It’s Chris Mike’s latest guitar-led instrumental track “Limerence”.

Rock aficionados will be enraptured before the first solo has time to make your jaw drop. But Limerence isn’t solely about Chris Mike’s fretboard wizardry. With symphonic elements amplifying the energy of the electrifying mix, you’re in for a raucously euphoric treat.

We might not be able to go to gigs right now, but even if I found myself front-row for my favourite artist, I’m not entirely sure I could be as blown away as I was when listening to Limerence for the first time.

There’s no amount of acclaim that Limerence is unworthy of. Not only is Chris Mike one of the most talented instrumentalists I’ve heard in 2020, there’s also plenty of distinctive flair around his rhythmically masterful shredding. I think I’ve found a new guitar hero.

Reminiscences of the Stone Roses iconic sound may be perceptible in numerous of 8udDha bl0od’s tracks, but with 570n3D R0535: f00l5 g0lD; 5!l<3r R35Urr3c710n the Brighton-based artist made a fitting ode to the timeless classic Fools Gold.

420 vibes drip from the effortlessly melodic Psych Alt Rock track which will take you on a 9-minute journey through glitchy, intense, effects-laden inventive alchemy.

While 570n3D R0535: f00l5 g0lD; 5!l<3r R35Urr3c710n may be darker, harsher and more experimental than anything the Stone Roses have ever come up with, the ingenuity of the orchestration definitely wasn’t lost on us. The instrumental hooks are just as sharp, and the production ensures the track is equally as entrancing.

Cyprus – Light in Your Eyes: Intricately Prodigal Instrumental Rock

North Carolina-based artist Cyprus has recently released his latest single “Light in Your Eyes”. Fans of experimental Indie Rock probably won’t want to hang around whacking the cathartically mesmeric soundscape on their playlists.

Light in Your Eyes may be void of lyrics, but there is little room for them thanks to the rich tonality of the track accompanied by the winding progressions of the instrumental arrangements which fuse together to create a Soft Rock soundscape which I can guarantee you won’t have heard the likes of before. It’s clear that the up and coming one-man musical powerhouse has a deft command over sound, yet, I would love to hear his arrangements as part of a full band. Either way, his instrumental solo work holds a lot of commercial potential.
