Arcenio Cayetano has dropped their atmospherically intense Hip Hop debut “Ttab”

If it has been a while since you heard a Hip Hop debut worth getting excited about, hit play on Arcenio Cayetano’s first officially released single Ttab.

Ttab kicks off with an artfully arrestive prelude which will ensure that you’re well and truly transfixed by the time Arcenio Cayetano’s high-vibe unapologetically salacious bars kick in.

The up and coming artist made stylistic comparisons hard to make with the way the mix constantly evolves. Expect to find nuances of RnB, Pop, Trap and Old School Hip Hop weaved into the futuristically fresh, atmospherically intense track which was polished with precision by Mango Tree Productions.

You can check out Arcenio Cayetano’s single on all major streaming platforms via this link.

Illegal NoiZe breathed euphoric new life into Kevin Hill’s iconic track Dreamin’ with their experimentally progressive remix

After being blown away by Illegal NoiZe’s original tracks, we were stoked to hear he had given Kevin Hill’s transfixing hit Dreamin’ the Illegal NoiZe remix treatment.

We’d become accustomed to hearing big bass-driven hits from Illegal NoiZe such as their unforgettably dark EDM Hip Hop tracks Keep It Trill & I Like to Daft. We weren’t prepared for their hazy sweet remix of Dreamin’. But we loved the dreamy ambient side of the producer’s talent as much as we dug his ominously arrestive tracks.

Not only were lashings of Euphoria added to the mix, but each progression in the artist’s playfully teasing rework will draw you deeper into the rhythmically hypnotic soundscape even though you’ll never find a complacent moment in the 5:56-minute duration.

In 2014, Illegal NoiZe (formerly DJZ) was wiped off the internet by Sony/UMG. Now he’s back carrying his supposed copyright criminality as an ingenious artist title. Help put his new name on the map, but his beats on blast.

You can check out Illegal NoiZe’s remix of Dreamin’ via Spotify. Make sure to also check out their original tracks.

Keep up to date with new releases via Facebook, Insta and Twitter.

Liven up your Indie RnB Hip Hop playlists with Yfk Flash’s single “Stay True feat” Troy Ave

If you’re looking to freshen up your Summer Hip Hop playlists, up and coming artist Yfk Flash’s debut single Stay True will make for a sunny melodic addition.

To create the rhythmically arrestive feat of Indie RnB Hip Hop, Yfk Flash teamed up with Troy Ave who lent their magnetic vocal cords and Larrysac who took care of the flawless radio-ready production. Stay True may deliver a simple message, but the short and sweet mid-tempo hit’s good vibes are all too infectious.

Naturally, we hope to hear plenty more from Yfk Flash in 2020. He’s not just an artist with perceptible commercial potential. He’s also extremely efficacious at creating feel-good connectable music.

You can check out Stay True for yourselves via Spotify, iTunes, Deezer and Apple Music through this link.

dotCom – This is the Day featuring Jtuck: Transcendentally Sweet Ambient Trip Hop

https://fermanchu.bandcamp.com/track/this-is-the-day-ft-jtuck

For their seminal single This is the Day Atlanta-based up and coming Hip Hop artist dotCom teamed up with Jtuck to create a hypnotically cathartic feat of smooth Trip Hop which is all too easy to sink into.

The ambiently sweet production has an insanely strong magnetic pull which allows you to lock into the transfixing Rap bars and pay careful attention to the wit and wisdom which the lyrics were born from.

This is the Day is a track you hit play on and it allows you to instantly receive gratification. Tension is soon stripped by the ethereally light melodic beats while dotCom and Jtuck verse their succinctly metered poetry leaving you inspired by the insightful introspection.

You can stream and download This is the Day which dropped on May 26th for yourselves by heading over to Bandcamp.

Travis Tropeano has dropped their latest fiery free-style Trap hit “32oz Pt 1”

https://soundcloud.com/travis-tropeano/32oz-pt-1

Underground Hip Hop artist Travis Tropeano dropped their latest blazing freestyle Rap track 32oz Pt 1 on June 5th. With crisp and clean Trap beats alongside Travis Tropeano’s succinctly metered Rap verses, getting immersed and energised by 32oz Pt 2 is pretty much non-optional.

If there’s any genre which has thrived despite the lockdown, it’s Hip Hop, and Travis Tropeano is just one of the boundlessly creative urban artists compelled to keep us all entertained with their non-relenting talent. Prepare for plenty of sharp hooks when you hit play and a melody which will stick with you long after the short, sweet and snappy hit has faded to a close.

You can check out 32oz Pt 1 for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud. Make sure you give Travis Tropeano a follow, as 32oz Pt 2 is in the pipeline and due to drop.

Under the homonymous album, Chuck extracts his latest single Smwtd

Under the homonymous album, Chuck extracts his latest single Smwtd, an acronym I had to go research myself on Urban Dictionary to better understand this chillout tune. If you too don’t know what that means, do look it up for yourself – it’s a fun one!

It feels like you’re entering a classy lounge bar somewhere in downtown Santa Monica where rows of expensive cocktails are presented to patrons, and Smwtd emerges from the background invading the whole space to the point of covering voices and laughs, and drawing so much attention that people won’t wait a second longer before letting themselves swing to the music.

The rhythm alternations made of slow beats and loops that weigh in and out with their harmonic movement builds up a cosy vibe that’s all about fluctuations of mellow piano and guitar sounds.

Chuck maintains the same depth in all other tracks of the album (see Yellow – that’s another one I really dig) but you can start by listening to Smwtd on Spotify.

ChrissyBoy – Champion: Wit-Driven Hook-Filled Hip Hop

https://soundcloud.com/user-440046623/champion

In a time where it feels like there is no escape from pessimism and negativity, high-vibe Hip Hop tracks such as ChrissyBoy’s latest single “Champion” are more essential than ever.

The resounding feel-good vibe hits right from the first verse. And from there on out, you’ll be gently pulled through the organically compelling track as the intellect-driven lyrics run through their resilience-inspired verses.

Champion may be short and sweet, but the solid, atmospheric, soul-infused mix will stay with you long after it’s faded out.

We never thought we’d see the day when we’d get to hear Bukowski references pop up in a Hip Hop mix. Naturally, we’ll be keeping an eagle eye on ChrissyBoy. Get them on your radar.

Katrame – Mind At Stake: Holy fire and sticky desire!

Straight out of the gate, Katrame prove that they are rule breakers with their latest release “Mind At Stake”. It’s dangerous from the get go, with an intricate drum syncopation, electronic murky baselines, and a slow, grinding top line melody that is impossible to ignore. The ebb and flow of the track feels like auditory fermentation. They deliberately give nothing away before the right time and you are transported, then seeped in a  strange otherworldliness of their own clever design.

Like enjoying a clear sunny day and all that it has to offer and then walking through a door, only to be confronted with contrasting dark, dirty pleasures, ‘Mind At Stake’ transports you imperceptibly from pure almost holy reverence to sacrilege and sinful, sticky desire.

Michalis Papoulakos (vocals, beats, sytnths), Nasso Frontistis (bass, vocals), and Nikos Probonas (Guitar, synth, vocals) form the dynamic musical trio from Athens that is KATRAME and they are definitely a band to watch out for. They are well versed in suspense and intrigue and are able to place these into a musical context that is sure to move you.

Cadet Williams – Drop Tilted: Arrestingly Captivating Glitch Core Hip Hop

Cadet Williams’ latest track Drop Tilted dropped earlier in 2018; and if you’re a fan of Glitch Core inspired Ambient Hip Hop I’d say it’s about time you discovered the melodically eccentric mix. The drummer and producer’s style may be a little unorthodox but if you’re anything like me, you’re sick to death of hearing the same old uninspired Trap beats. The instrumental only 808 mix may only be short, but that’s enough time to be captured by the arresting soundscapes.

Whilst the track could have ran with a little more fluidity, there’s no denying that Cadet William’s latest single Drop Tilted is a work of genius, maybe madness – but they’re the same thing, right? I know the clue is in the title with Glitch Hip Hop, but in parts the stuttering beat broke the synergy which had been created and the momentum that had built up from the prelude. However, the synth melodies which were created around the experimental Trap interruptions were enough to prove that Cadet Williams has a serious style which I’m assuming won’t go unnoticed.

If you’re a fan of Lo Fi Experimental Glitch Hip Hop You can check out Cadet William’s latest single Drop Tilted on SoundCloud
