Victor Bomi unveiled a spectre of synaesthesia in his latest cinematic synth single, Above and Below

Above and Below is the latest temperately scintillating feat of alt-electronica from the producer Victor Bomi, best known for his collaborations with Universal, Sony and Virgin Records. Now working on his solo work, he’s allowing his autonomy to make strides in his music which is a spectre of synaesthesia.

The supple synth melodies kaleidoscopically create bursts of euphonic energy against the robust rhythms, despite the minimalism. It isn’t every day that you aurally amble across an artist who brings out the softer side of electronica; the Italy, Russia and France descending artist clearly knows how to breed intimacy within his productions that manifest through his love of cinema and synths.

Above and Below was officially released on September 21st; add it to your Spotify playlists.

Alabama EDM hip hop artist Cashies is looking fly in his urban dance track, My Money

One of Alabama’s hottest urban dance artists, Cashies, dropped the ultimate feel-good Afrobeat pop track with his seminal 2021 release, My Money.

The warm and saturated hip hop-influenced instrumentals around the dancey BPM and the funk in the grooves makes My Money the ultimate track to listen to while you’re on your grind or on your daily commute. The simple yet infectiously efficacious lyrics bring a sense of optimism and positive determinism that is scarcely seen in the airwaves in 2022. Whether you’re balling or scratching a living, there are no limits on who can derive euphoria from this fly release, which exhibits the soul in Cashies’ playful RnB pop vocal timbre.

Any fans of Playboy Carti, Travis Scott and Kanye, won’t want to miss out on this dance-worthy track that puts you in the best headspace to live your life to the fullest.

My Money is available to stream on SoundCloud and purchase and download from Apple Music.

Michelle Ayers sets the pace in her soul house anthem, Fast Steppin’

Newark-born, Atlanta-based veteran recording artist Michelle Ayers has been projecting soul into the EDM scene since 1988. In 2022, she is on zealous form in her latest single, Fast Steppin’.

As cool as a New York club kid in the 90s, as soulful as Houston, she was best placed to bring the funk, groove and euphoria in her escapist retro disco house anthem, which shows the vast range of her soaring vocal dynamism over the solid beats and Nile Rodgers Esque synthesised guitar chops. Feel good tracks have never felt so good.

Fast Steppin’ is now available to stream on Soundcloud.

BISH gave Shakira’s ‘Whenever’ a trancey rework in his luminous remix

Whenever by Shakira will forever be one of the greatest hits in pop history; it has spawned countless remixes, including the trancey revival by the San Francisco producer and DJ, BISH.

The up-and-coming artist and professional baseball player for the San Francisco Giants made the most of his time away from the field during lockdown by working on his production skills, which transpired from learning the piano at a young age. It is safe to say that the time locked away in his home studio was well spent on the basis of Whenever.

Bringing the heat from his hometown, Whenever is radiant under BISH’s touch, which is highly influenced by his idol. Kygo. We can’t wait to hear where he takes his melodic brand of dance music next.

Rob Benny is ‘Still Searching’ for meaning in his percussive EDM single.

https://soundcloud.com/robbennyofficial/still-searching?si=fa05a6ab2e2848eba1350edc0968e23c&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

I’m not a big advocate of the adjective epic, but nothing else comes to close to encapsulating what the NYC electronica artist and producer Rob Benny conjured with his percussive EDM single, Still Searching.

With the world music overtones, there is a vital sense of spirituality in the progressive mix. Given that there is a fundamental lack of that around in 2022, Still Searching is a revitalising sensory experience, which affirms that even in the most trying times, there is still meaning and purpose out there; you just have to reach for it. Even though we are instant gratification-seeking creatures, meaning takes time to manifest. I couldn’t think of a better soundscape to drink in while we wait.

Still Searching is now available to stream on SoundCloud.

Timothy and the Apocalypse – Voice Like an Echo: Meet Your New Favourite Trip-Hop Raconteur

After racking up hundreds of thousands of streams since his 2021 debut, the fatalistically monikered experimental electronica artist, Timothy and the Apocalypse has unveiled his latest leftfield single Voice Like an Echo.

With his knack of adding soul to synthetic textures, Voice Like an Echo is yet another trippy triumph, which carries the trip-hop gravitas of Portishead and the ardent downtempo allure of Massive Attack’s most grippingly progressive productions.

If the endlessly imploring vocals finding synergy with the mellifluous glitches (yes, I know that should be a paradox, he’s THAT good) don’t move you, you can probably consider yourself emotionally paralysed. Who would have thought end times would sound so sweet?

Voice Like an Echo is now available to stream on Spotify.

Will Roesner does it Vampire Style in his latest ethereally ambient soundscape

‘Ethereal’ may have been inanely bound around so much that it has lost all meaning and resonance, but if there is any artist that the adjective should have been reserved for, it is the eclectically experimental creator of aural worlds, Will Roesner.

Especially based on his latest single, Vampire Style, which brings back the romanticism and gothic glamour of Interview with the Vampire. In place of fangs and frills, there’s cavernously lush 80s-Esque reverb, synth-carved ambience, and gorgeously delicate lamenting harmonies over the tear-jerking accordance.

With a new album due for release in early September, all eyes should be on Will Roesner and his command of evocative minimalism.

Vampire Style is now available to stream on Spotify.

The anonymous electronica collective, Formanteau, detonated a bomb of colorful euphoria in their debut single, In Your Hands

In Your Hands is the debut mellifluously melodic feat of electronica from the collective, Formanteau, headed by a veteran underground music producer who has appeared in multiple film and TV credits for his compositions.

There is something incredibly reassuring about an anonymous electronica collective running in the same vein as 21st-century enigmas, such as Gorillaz and Sault. There is the immediate affirmation that the motivation behind the electro momentum is in no way egotized, and that is exactly how In Your Hand sweetly runs through.

The innocence in the reprise of “my life is only in your hands” made an unforgettable production out of the colourfully euphoric release that runs at the perfect tempo to leave you as invigorated as mellowed.

Alt electro producer Z3LDA delivered cinematic hyper euphoria in their sophomore single, Sincerely, All Caps

The US electronic music composer and computer programmer, Z3LDA, delivered cinematically hyper euphoria with their sophomore single, Sincerely All Caps.

After a series of vocal samples that get you in the right space for the histrionic sonic suggestion, rugged post-punk bass guitars, and one hell of an astutely fraught spacey build-up, the progressive mix descends into a dizzying blend of hard techno and psytrance with a mind-bending BPM. Frenetic enough to make most dubstep sound ambient.

If any new electronic artist deserves to go viral this year, on the basis of the sheer gravitas of Sincerely, All Caps, it is Z3LDA. Love it for the escapism. Love it for the insanity. Love it for the personality, whatever you do, don’t let this stratospherically stellar release slip you by.

Sincerely, All Caps is now available to stream on SoundCloud.
